As the season reaches the climax, it reveals a second mcguffin for the decepticons to use for the grand plans for Cybertron and Earth: Vector Sigma. Also in some episodes the autobots learn that the Allspark shards have emitted a powerful residue to created a virus within the cities of a brand source of energon similar to the Allspark's energy. The Constructicons, Soundwave, Swindle, Blackarchina, Waspinator and Humans Villians all return as well. Jazz and Ironhide will be joining the team too as they find the All spark fragments that are widespread back on Planet Earth. He then sends Strika and her very own team to free Megatron and all of the Decepticons to find the All Spark fragments that were still all over earth for he can absorb its power. He responds to the activation of the allspark turning into a new powerful source to rebuild their army.
Meanwhile on the decepticon's new homeworld, The Fallen has finally awoken for the first time in Centuries. In season 4, Megatron and all of the other Decepticons are in prison on Cybertron and the Autobots have returned to Cybertron.
